Pressure plugging is a technique used to plug pores or cracks in an oil or gas well. It uses specific materials and devices to inject high-pressure fluids into the well, creating a strong, high-pressure barrier to stop the flow of oil, gas or other fluids. In this process, different are used for different plugging requirements. Here are some common pressure sealing materials:
1. Cement: Cement is one of the commonly used reprograding and sealing materials. It has good flow and pressure resistance and can form a strong isolation layer in the wellbore. Cement is usually prepared by mixing water and cement powder and is quickly hardened after injection into the well.
2. Silicate cement: Silicate cement is a sealing material commonly used in high temperature and high pressure environment. It is made of Portland cement, silicate powder and other additives and has excellent high temperature resistance and pressure resistance.
3. Polymer plugging agent: Polymer plugging agent is a reversible plugging material. It can form a soft barrier to stop the fluid after injection into the well. Polymer sealers usually have good fluidity and gelling properties, and are able to chemically react upon contact with a specific substance to form a strong polymer matrix.
4. Mortar: Mortar is a material made from a mixture of lime, sand and water, often used to plug small pores or cracks in Wells. It has good and pressure resistance, and can effectively fill and block small channels.
5. Dilatant colloid: Dilatant colloid is a material that can expand to form a gel after contact with water. It is usually composed of high polymer and filler, which has good sealing effect and permeability control ability. When injected into the well, the dilatant colloid rapidly absorbs water and expands to form a strong sealing layer.
6. Metal sealing materials: Metal sealing materials are usually used to plug large pores or cracks. Common metal sealing materials include aluminum, copper, steel, etc., they have good high temperature and high pressure resistance, can effectively plug the channel in the well.
The above are common writing tape sealing materials, and each material has its own applicable sealing conditions and characteristics. In practical application, according to the factors such as wellhead environment, sealing requirements and material characteristics, suitable sealing materials are selected for operation to achieve efficient sealing effect.
